Day 95: Then a Day Off...

Got up and out early with Scatters and Rob (who we later named "Itinerary") and made it through a few farms and swamps to Unionville. It was another hot day. We got to the post office at 10:50 - way before it closed - and we hung out in the shade with Neutron who we saw walking down the street. Nice to see that guy again!! (and thanks for the half soda :) Xan was still asleep at the Mayor's house (a hostel in Unionville), but I caught up with what had been going on with them as we went through our boxes (thanks for sending my box, mom!).

One Life arrived before the post office closed and got his package, too. Then we all hung out at the general store with a few snacks. Tattoo, Klarity, Cope, Itinerary and a few others were there as well. We chilled out in the awesome rocking chairs. One Life's sister was on the way from NYC to pick us up. Scatters, One Life and I were gonna spend a day and two half days in the city!

Abigail, One Life's sister, showed up and let us pile our stinky stuff into the trunk and then drove us to the city. We got caught in a bit of traffic, but the smooth, air conditioned ride was fine by us hikers. We dropped Scatters off at the subway (she was off to meet and stay with friends in the city), and the rest of us went to Abigail's house to meet her boyfriend, Eli, and to hang out all night.

We stunk, so we dropped our stuff on the back patio and began the clean-up process. Showers, laundry, pack scrub down. Ahhhhh. Feels so good to be clean.

We snacked until it was dinner time, then we got pizza and ate more. Nice chill afternoon and evening. Movies and chatter till we fall asleep. So tired!! It'll be nice to have a zero tomorrow.
